This clean, bright, minimalist new Swedish cafe is an oasis in the busy, noisy heart of Kensington market. Opened by Nikki Leigh McKean and husband Victor Barry (think Splendido) the menu is small but delicious. Wonderful sandwiches (designed at Splendido but assembled at Fika) - we had the smoked salmon and the avocado. Pastries (made at Splendido) looked amazing and we will be back for them. There’s lovely seating in the garden area in the backyard. Fika (pronounced feeka) is Swedish for ‘let’s have coffee’ and there’s great coffee there too of course.
