Majda, the restaurant made famous by Anthony Bourdain in Parts Unknown, was even better on this visit than it was on my first. The inspiring couple â€“ Michal who is the chef and Jewish and her husband Jakab who built the restaurant, made the furniture and planted the garden and who is Palestinian, give hope that peace is possible. I especially loved the freekeh soup (green wheat), chicken wrapped in filo, lamb dishes, and lovely desserts. It is located about Â½ hour outside Jerusalem across from Abu Gosh.
